Appeal for Funds for The Samiksha Scholarships Program - Series 5 for 65 deserving students
Samiksha Foundation Appeal for 2021
Samiksha Foundation - Caring for Children with Cancer Trust provides a creative learning platform for children with cancer, designed to focus on the integrated education of children in life-limiting situations such as cancer. Our main mission is to impart formal education to the children while they undergo medical treatment, ensuring they do not miss school and that we increase their happiness quotient. From 11 years of experience running such education programs in hospital wards, we know that this enables the children to go back to mainstream life with hope, confidence, pride and dignity in spite of their situation.

Samiksha 2.0 - "The Integrated Learning Program" (TILP)
Samiksha 2.0 will leverage Beneficial Technology to enable remote teaching/learning for the education of school age children undergoing long-term cancer treatment (hence missing school) especially where in-the-ward Samiksha Foundation Learning Centre (SFLC) established under Samiksha 1.0 are not functional at the hospitals for the children due to Covid 19.
Samiksha 2.0 -Development Challenges being addressed:
Though it appears the situation due to the Covid19 pandemic might return to a manageable phase soon, the possibility of going back to the hospitals to restart the Learning Centres such that the volunteers and staff of SF can interact with the immune-compromised children on a day-to-day basis seems highly unlikely.

Tribute to Rafika Banu
We pay loving tribute to the late Ms Rafika Banu, a brilliant and hardworking Samiksha student who left us on 5 July 2020.
Rafika was the daughter of Shri Babujaan and Smt Majanbi, residents of Tumkur district, and aspired to be a Doctor. She was a student from 2016 onwards at the Samiksha learning centre at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, where she was being treated for Ewings Sarcoma.
