Is Samiksha Foundation a registered nonprofit/NGO?
Samiksha Foundation is a registered trust under the Indian Trusts Act, 1881, document no. BNG(U)-BMH 237 2009-2010.
Is my donation tax-deductible within India?
Yes. Donations to the Samiksha Foundation are deductible under Section 80G(2)(a)(iv) r.w.s. 80G(5)(vi) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 in India, with tax exemption certificate no. DIT(E)BLR/80G/5/AAJTS8922L/ITO(E)-3/Vol 2012-2013, dated 10/04/2012.
Is Samiksha Foundation registered under the FCRA rules for foreign donations?
Yes. Samiksha Foundation is registered under Section 11(1) of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010, with registration number 094421719.
It is compliant with the new rules of the Ministry of Home Affairs, including an FCRA account at SBI - New Delhi and a dedicated FCRA Fund Utilization Account.
Can I donate through my employer’s Benevity portal?
Yes. Samiksha Foundation - Caring for Children with Cancer Trust will appear as a cause in your employer’s Benevity donation portal. Please specify the project named Education program for children with cancer. For Indian donors, your donation will be processed by the NASSCOM Foundation. For foreign donors/companies, your donation will be processed by the UK Online Giving Foundation following the FCRA rules.
How will my personal information be used?
Samiksha Foundation takes your privacy seriously. Your information will only be used to process your donation, and (with your consent) to keep you informed about Foundation activities.
It will not be shared outside the Foundation, except with banks and our payment processor for the purpose of processing your donation.
