Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to donations made to Samiksha Foundation - Caring for Children with Cancer Trust (“Samiksha Foundation”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

We request all donors to review their donation details carefully before making a payment.

  1. Indian donors

For donations made from within India, we may consider a refund only in limited cases, such as:

  • a duplicate payment
  • a technical error in the payment process
  • a donation amount that was higher than intended because of a payment error
  • a fraudulent or unauthorised transaction reported to us or to the payment provider

We do not usually offer refunds once a donation has been successfully processed and accepted.

We also do not refund bank charges, payment gateway charges or other third-party charges that may have been applied to the transaction.

If a tax receipt or certificate has already been issued for the donation, we may not be able to process a refund except where required by applicable laws in India.

  1. Foreign donors

Foreign donations are subject to the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 (FCRA) and other applicable laws in India.

On account of these rules, refunds of foreign donations may not be possible once the donation has been received or transferred.

If you believe a foreign donation was made in error, please contact us immediately. We will review the request to the extent permitted by applicable laws in India.

  1. Donations made through third-party platforms

Some donations may be processed through third-party platforms or payment providers. In those cases, the platform or provider may have its own refund rules, timelines, and requirements.

We may ask you to first contact the relevant platform or payment provider. where appropriate.

  1. How to request a refund

To request a refund, please email us with:

  • your full name
  • the donation date
  • the donation amount
  • the payment method
  • the transaction reference or proof of payment
  • the reason for the refund request

Please send refund requests to admin@samikshafoundation.org within 30 days of the donation date.

We may ask for additional information before making a decision.
