Origin
15-year-old Jayanth Singh was not allowed to rejoin his old school in 9th Grade because of his grades in Math, a result of disturbance due to cancer remission and financial need. Samiksha helped facilitate his admission into MEC School and thus the continuation of his education. This highlighted the need for financial support for these surviving, thriving students, who continue to pursue their learning post-cancer with zest and rigour.

The criteria for selection of the student awardees are:
- The child went through cancer treatment.
- They were part of a Samiksha Learning Program or recommended by the Oncologists
