Library Program
Eliminate ‘Learning Poverty’ - support reading and vocabulary for every child!
We maintain a library at every learning center. The children are encouraged to borrow books from the library and to write reviews of or discuss the books they have read. The library includes books in English, books in vernacular languages, and multilingual books.
The library at the Kapur Ward at KMIO has over 800 books. The library at MSCC at NH has over 300 books.
Our resource partners for this program are Pratham Books and Tulika Publications.
With Samiksha 2.0, we provide devices and online reading resources to the children.
Call for volunteers: Our volunteers have an important role to play in eliminating learning poverty in the country. As a volunteer, you will read to the children regularly, encourage them to read even after the teachers leave the ward, maintain a record of children’s reading habits, and set up awards for good reading habits.
